Norwegian Railway Museum
The Norwegian Railway Museum differs from other museums of its kind around the world. Our stunning vast and green museum park features elegant, historic station buildings, a lengthsman’s cottage, two halls with locomotives and coaches, vintage tracks with signals, and a main building with an exhibition open all year round.
The main exhibition “Tracing the journey” covers a range of topics, and features items from Norwegian railway history and travel culture.
During summer, a small, narrow-gauge steam train puffs through the beautiful museum park, and a trip is included in the guided tour when the train is in service.
The restaurant carriage from 1911 is ideal for everything from a coffee break to a meal. Max. 40 people. We will put you in contact with the operator.
