Alternatively; Boat excursion lake Bygdin. Departure from the hotel by coach to Bygdin, continue by passenger boat across the hill stretch of lake Bygdin to Eidsbugarden. Enjoy the sight of the Jotunheimen National Park with panoramas of high peaks and glaciers. Lunch pack. Return by coach along lake Vangsmjøsa. Visit a Stave Church and the oldest house in Valdres. Return over the Slettefjell pass. You can make this trip with your own car to Bygdin. Other options also available.
Departure from Beitostølen through Jotunheimen national Park along the Valdresflye national tourist route – photostops are recommended. Arriving Dombås for a stop. We can be recommended for shopping or a cup of coffee at Frich´s. From Dombås you will enjoy
the view to the Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella national park as you drive through the mountains. You have first class views to this beautiful mountain plateau.
At Oppdalsporten you can stop for lunch. After lunch, arrival at Thamshavnbanen and Orkla Industry Museum. Explore the museum and enjoy the ride on this historic train from Løkken verk to Bårdshaug and return. Continue westwards to Valsøytunet for a stop to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Coffee and the traditional norwegian waffles can be purchased in the “Saltrøfjøset”, an old building from 1760. There are also possiblities for challenging yourself in the climbing park at Valsøya. You can stay the night at Valsøya, in one of the podhouses, cabins or apartments. Alternatively drive to Surnadal for check-in and dinner at the Thon Hotel Surnadal.
Departure from the hotel after breakfast. Driving along the west coast to Kristiansund you may take the Aursjøvegen mountain road, off the beaten track. Also, it is possible to visit the botanic garden at Svinvik Arboret and the rock carvings at Bogge. Lunch along the route. Exploring the Atlanterhavsvegen National Tourist route, photo stop.
Today’s destination is Molde known for its beautiful surroundings and stunning views. Enjoy the sight of the 222 mountain peaks in the Molde panorama. Norwegians will say that Molde is the city of roses. The designation is based on the city’s any flourishing and lush rose gardens. Dinner and overnight stay at Scandic Seilet Hotel.
Breakfast at hotel. You drive from Molde to Åndalsnes before you go through the Romsdalen valley with its high peaks and dramatic nature. Stop at the Trollveggen visitor Centre to see the dramatic troll wall.
Stop for lunch at Dale-Gudbrands gard. This hotel sits among some of the region’s most culturally and historically significant land. Dating back 1300 years, and originally known as Hundorp Farm, this was the centre of power for a very long time. Arriving Hamar, check in at First Hotel Victoria. Shopping and time on your own. Overnight stay with breakfast, 2 nights.
Explore Hamar and the city life. At Hamar you should visit medieval Hamar at the Domkirkeodden, one of the most beautiful museums in the world (Travel Magazine) and later the Norwegian Railway Museum. Here you get an insight to the growth of Norwegian communities during the 1800s and 1900s. The exhibition links railway history to the development of modern technology. Departure for Oslo. Lunch in Oslo. Visit a variety of attractions. Overnight stay at Scandic Holberg Hotel with breakfast.
